There are four models in Hovo 700 series:
Hovo 700 (Gray/Red) – basic model with UV light
Hovo 710 – basic model plus dry mopping pad, use vacuum inlet to reduce hairs tangle
Hovo 750 – basic model with UV light in gold and white two tones color
Hovo 780 (Black/Red) – Hovo 710 model plus wet mopping pad with electronics control water dripping speed
The Hovo robot vacuum cleaner must be turned ON in order for the unit to be charged, otherwise a E10 error code with warning voice will show up.
There are 2 ways to charge: Auto and Manual.
AUTO CHARGE
Unit will auto charge when it's battery is low.
MANUAL CHARGE
You can charge the battery manaully by using the AC adapter.

Yes, but to save power consumption, unit will move out charging station and disconnect charging power after battery is fully charged.
Hovo 710 model has dry mopping pad to mop hard surface floors.
Hovo 780 model has water tank and mopping pad to do wet mopping. There are two water dripping speeds which can be controlled via remote control unit.

*When unit is not moving, water will be not dripping out to avoid damaging hardwood floor.*
The mop pad can be dry or wet. You can fill water tank reservoir with tap water or cleaning solution like Bona® Hardwood Floor Cleaner. Water or cleaning solution inside reservoir will continue to seep out onto the mopping cloth slowly when unit mopping in action.
Hovo 710 and Hovo 780 models comes with a virtual blocker. You can also purchase additional virtual blockers here: http://store.cleanmateus.com/ho700viwa.html
Hovo 700 can clean carpets that are thick up to 1/2". Hovo 700 can climb up 1/2" carpet. It will not go over rug with tassels since the roller brush will get stuck.
It will move backward under following situations: When it hit objects, detects stair or step; when it detects charging station or virtual blocker signal.
If it moves backward abnormally, check the following:
Tap the front bumper and see if it bounces back. If it does not bounce back, clean the bumper. If the bumper is stuck, the vacuum will think it hit something and move backwards.
Check to see if the cliff sensors are clean and are working properly (refer to "6. How do I check if my unit's ground sensors are working?") If the sensors are blocked or dirty the vacuum will think it is near a cliff and move backwards.
Remove or turn off virtual blocker. When it detects charging station or virtual blocker signal, it will move backwards.
There should be no object between main unit moving path and charging station in order for unit to find charging station and dock.
Check your unit's wheel and make sure there is no hair or debris stuck in it. Also use your hand to check if you can rotate the wheels freely. If your wheels are clean and can rotate freely, then you may need to buy a new wheel or send your unit in for repair.

If your unit is able to move back and forth, then check to see if the ground sensors are working properly. Refer to question 6 in Troubleshooting
If your unit moves clockwise, then your right wheel has issues. If your unit moves counter-clockwise, then your left wheel has issues. Check the video below for further guidance
This is a sign that the battery is old. If you have used your robot vacuum cleaner for more than a year, then you should replace the battery with a new one. You can check if you need to replace the battery by checking its voltage. (Refer to "8. How do I Check my unit's battery voltage?")
You will need to perform a diagnostics test to check if your ground sensors are working properly.
If one of the 4 sensors are not working, you will need your unit repaired.
Make sure your water tank is at least half full with liquid. If there is not enough liquid in the tank you will get an error code; E0 12. A voice prompt will tell you to add more water to the water tank.

If your unit still does not work after troubleshooting your unit, then you may need to send it in for repairs. If it is under warranty, you will need to pay for shipping fee. Please email your issue to support@metapo.com and include the following:
New unit has a 1 year warranty, and a 6 month warranty for it's battery. Refurbished units comes with a 3 month warranty. You will also need to pay for shipping fee if your unit needs to be serviced.
Warrranty only covers the United States.
To keep your robot vacuum cleaner running optimally, remember to empty the dustbin, clean the roller and side brushes, and check to make sure there is no hair or debris stuck on the wheels.
Prop the front wheel out and use a towel to clean the wheel and and the area where it is attached.
Use a towel to clean the sides and treads of each wheel. Rotate the wheel with your hand so you can clean the entire wheel.
Prop the side brush out with tweezers or a flat head screwdriver. Then use a towel to clean the motor and sidebrush.
Remove the lid and roller brush. Then use a towel and brush to clean the brush compartment. Remove any hair or debris stuck onto the roller brush.
Peel off the mopping pad. You can either wash the pad with water or use a vacuum to clean it.
Take out the dust bin, and remove the filters inside. Use a towel or brush to clean the filters and inside the dustbin.
